The IMT is the central laboratory responsible for the tests that will evaluate mixtures between B16 and B25, a step considered fundamental to support future regulatory decisions on increasing the mandatory percentage of biodiesel in diesel, currently set at 15%. The tests are part of the work conducted by the Subcommittee for the Evaluation of the Technical Feasibility of High-Content Biofuel Blends in Fossil Fuels, created by the Ministry of Mines and Energy in October 2025.
