NY #11: NY raw sugar market started the week in recovery, with October 2026 advancing 25 points to US$ 17.81 c/lb, following Friday’s correction triggered by producer pricing and funds´ liquidation of long positions.

NY #11: fundamental outlook remains unchanged, with prices still supported by global supply risks. In addition, the market may have received support from rising geopolitical tensions in the Middle East following resumption of hostilities between the US and Iran.

Oil: October 2026 Brent settled at US$ 90.49/bbl in the latest session, up 2.4%, following the mutual attacks between the US and Iran on Sunday (30) and fears of further military escalation in the region.

Brazil: according to DATAGRO estimates, gasoline prices at Petrobras refineries are 36.3% below import parity, while diesel prices are 28.9% below parity.

Australia: cane crushing in the 26/27 crop totaled 12.567 mmt until August 23rd (+1.9% YoY), while raw sugar production reached 1.789 mmt (+9.9% YoY).

Brazil: hydrous ethanol prices at the pump remained competitive against gasoline across 67.8% of Otto-cycle fuel markets, compared to 53.8% during the same period last year.

Brazil: ethanol exports reached 265 million liters in August (+72.2% YoY), totaling 786 million liters year-to-date (-24.6% YoY), the lowest volume for the period since 2018, according to DATAGRO Line-up.

Brazil: for September, 8 vessels are already nominated to transport 208 million liters (-1.4% YoY), indicating that the volume scheduled for the month is likely to exceed last year’s level.

Indonesia: government projects white sugar production to reach 3 mmt in 2026, volume considered sufficient to fully meet domestic demand.

Indonesia: government plans to rehabilitate cane areas operated by smallholders, around 86% of which are considered unsuitable, expand the planted area, and encourage production by mills.
