Germany: green leafhopper continues to spread across key beet-growing regions, with WVZ monitoring showing advances in Bavaria, Hesse, Saxony-Anhalt, Lower Saxony, and Rhineland. The infestation began significantly earlier than in 2025, with captures exceeding last year's levels in several locations and rapid population surges — aided by the late-June heatwave.

Pakistan Sugar Mills Association (PSMA) has requested immediate government authorization to export 585 k mt of sugar.

Pakistan: PSMA estimates a surplus of 1.158 mmt at the start of the 26/27 season on November 15. For the new crop, PSMA projects a record sugar output of 8.0 mmt.
