The Department of Rural Economy (Deral), of the State Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply (Seab) of Paraná, released this Thursday (25) the crop bulletin referring to June 2026. The numbers consolidate the closing of the 2025/26 summer grain crop in Paraná, which culminated in a record production volume for the period. In total, there are 26.3 million tons, a volume 6% higher than the previous crop, which obtained 24.7 million tons. The numbers especially reflect the good soybean crop, with 21.8 million tons, but also a recovery in the corn crop for the period, which jumped from 3.1 million tons to 4.1 million tons. For the agronomist and Deral analyst Hugo Godinho, the summer crop is an important step towards a great crop in the consolidated year. “We still have to wait for the winter crop behavior, as there is a high climatic risk. Even so, the summer crop being fully completed and 6% higher than the previous summer crop is the first step towards us being able to renew the record for total harvest set last year,” explains the analyst. As for the second crop of 2025/26, which is underway during this winter period, among the major field crops in Paraná, the main highlight is corn, which is projected to produce 17.6 million tons in a cultivated area of 2.91 million hectares. According to Deral, the harvest has already begun and has reached about 3% of the total area. And although there have been isolated frosts of weak to moderate intensity in the South and West regions, technicians indicate that any damage should not cause significant changes in the final production figures at this time. "The harvest should intensify considerably in the coming days. Especially in the western region, with drier and sunnier days forecast for next week, we should have a fairly large volume of harvest. So, next week, it is likely that the percentage will increase in the state," explains Deral analyst Edmar Gervasio.
