CS Brazil Receives Above-Average Rainfall in March
● March was a month with above-average rainfall across much of the sugarcane-growing areas in the Center-South region. On average, 188.3 mm was recorded, 12.9% above the historical average.
● The states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, and Goiás concentrated the highest rainfall volumes throughout the month.
● Since January, the average accumulated rainfall in the region reached 631.8 mm, marking one of the wettest first quarters in recent years, surpassed only by 2023 (744.5 mm) — the climatological average for the period is 611.9 mm.
● For early April, some rainfall is still expected in the first days of the month, though at low intensity. From the 8th onwards, a cold front is expected to intensify precipitation across the entire Center-South region.
● Accumulated rainfall in the first half of April is expected to range between 40 and 70 mm, staying slightly above the historical average for the period. For the second half of the month, the forecast points to rainfall close to climatological norms.
