● According to Brazil’s Agriculture Ministry (MAPA), cane crushing in CS Brazil reached 23.06 mmt in 1H April, 38.3% more than a year ago.

● Despite rainfall, higher cane crushing is probably due to higher number of mills in operation and the recovery in cane ag yield.

● Industrial yield hit 104.98 kg TRS/tc (+1.5% YoY) in 1H April.

● Sugar production mix fell 12.5 p.p. YoY to 32.2% in 1H April.

● Sugar production reached 742,247 cbm in 1H April, up 1.0% YoY.

● Ethanol production from cane jumped 72.1% to 971,462 cbm in 1H April.

● Ethanol production from corn increased 12.9% YoY to 404,189 cbm in 1H April.
