Agribusiness contracted by -1.9% in February of this year compared to the same period in 2025, according to the Agroindustrial Production Index (PIMAgro) from FGVAgro. Production in the Food and Beverage segment expanded by 0.9% compared to the same month, marking the sixth consecutive year-on-year increase. However, unlike previous months, this expansion was exclusively driven by the Beverage sector, which grew by 6.2%. Looking at the Food Products sector alone, the contraction was -0.3%. This decline can be mainly explained by the lower supply of animal-derived foods, which fell by -1.6%.
